Özkan Tarım builds pumpkin seed harvesting machines in Develi, Kayseri — the district with Türkiye’s largest pumpkin seed planting area. The machines pick pumpkins up from the field, open them, separate the seed, and unload it into a trailer, with no hand labour on the harvest itself.

How the machine works
One pass: collect, open, separate, unload.
An automatic harvester runs off the tractor’s PTO and does four jobs in a single pass over the field.
1Collects
The pickup unit lifts the pumpkin off the ground. Automatic models need no field labour to collect pumpkins.
2Opens
The pumpkin is crushed open, freeing the seed from the shell and pulp.
3Separates
Perforated sieves separate the seed from the residue. On the B3 Plus the sieves are bolted and replaceable.
4Stores, unloads
Seed collects in a 600 to 2,800 kg tank and is unloaded into a trailer, hydraulically or by auger. The residue is returned to the field.
